( see "Your Symptoms") But regardless of your symptoms, you will receive the benefits of Dr. Kish's ongoing accumulation of education, knowledge and experience. He uses his knowledge as a chiropractor and as a critical care Registered Nurse to evaluate and successfully treat hundreds of conditions. But, the treatment is just a part of his caring for the people whose lives are on hold due to injury, pain and dysfunction. He believes that in order to really help a patient, you need to look at the entire person and not just their main symptoms. He always goes the extra mile for his patients. Dr. Kish takes the time to listen to all of your symptoms and concerns, does an appropriate examination and then explains all of the findings of your exam to identify the cause and the natural progression of your problem. Then he will outline how to relieve your symptoms and how you can keep it fixed. From his accumulated experience from treating and helping thousands of patients, Dr. Kish understands the underlying causes of your symptoms and how best to optimize your recovery. If your problem is not a condition treatable through chiropractic, he will make an appropriate medical referral. Dr. Kish designs his treatment for each individual based on what the patient's short and long term goals are. Some people want symptom relief, while most people want to correct their problem as much as their body will allow, and then to maintain that level of function. So what is different in his Treatment ? Dr. Kish uses dozens of techniques to treat patients, depending on each persons specific needs. His treatment beyond chiropractic adjustments may include: disc traction therapy, deep muscle release techniques, stretching and toning exercises, integrative muscle therapy and rehabilitative exercise techniques. Dr. Kish also uses physical therapy modalities including TENS, micro current Interferential therapy, Ultrasound and heat/cold. Custom bed foot orthotics are also made in his office for people with a wide variety of foot, ankle, knee, hip and back disorders. What is the progression of treatment ? After identifying the causative factors of an individuals' problem, Dr. Kish works with the patient to begin to reverse the damage done to their body. This acute phase of treatment is designed to minimize the symptoms ( pain and inflammation ) and restore motion back toward normal. This usually involves remobilizing the tightened muscle tissue, adjusting the spine and/ or extremities, and instructing the patient on stretching exercises, ice application, lifestyle advise, ergonomic advise, and water and diet requirements. Once the patient is through the acute phase of treatment, Dr. Kish will begin the rehabilitative phase ( Rehab) of treatment. Rehab is designed to strengthen and reintegrate body balance to keep the injured area stable. Rehab may include isometric and isokinetic exercises, circuit weight training, integrative exercise, cardiovascular exercise, specific muscle group strengthening, postural rebalancing, physioball exercise and foot orthotics when needed.
